hi redcafe, if you are applying for a passport, you will need NBI clearance for travel abroad, but if you already have a passport and you have travel plans, you dont need NBI every time you travel out of the country unless you are an overseas contract worker. enjoy your holidays!

hi sorry for just replying now, i have been quite busy with my studies. anyway, it would help if you have experience in the position that youre applying for. it also depends on the employer if its really a requirement on that position to have expereince. in my case, i am lucky or i may call it im blessed because my agent just asked me to undergo training in their company for the position i was applying and i was sent to my first ship after the training. and at the same time, i completed all the needed documents like solas, seamans book, passport... it took me almost 1 year to complete all my documents while at the same time, i was going around to different shipping agencies applying for any position. actually. it takes lots of guts, patience and financial back-up while applying for cruise ship jobs. just dont give up! and pray!
