Thomson Holidays operates its own cruise line, Thomson Cruises, that offers low-price cruises around Europe with ships chartered from Louis Cruise Lines and Holland America Line. The company had initially entered the cruise market in 1973, but due to rising fuel costs the venture was terminated in 1976. In 1995, Thomson restarted their cruise line after their competitor Airtours had a made a successful entry in the cruise business under their Sun Cruises brand.

Thomson Spirit Casino Staff

I joined Thomson Spirit in Funchal, Madeira Portugal. As usual 90% of the staff and crew of the ship are Filipinos. The crew of Hotel Dept., Housekeeping Dept. and Beauty Salon are from C.F. Sharp Maritime Agency in Manila, Philippines. While I am under the Casino Dept. and my agency in Manila is GSM (Great Southern Maritime Agency). The passengers in Thomson Spirit are mostly British. Our homeport is in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

In Thomson Destiny at Dry Dock

Thomson cruises feature state-of-the-art ships, such as the Thomson Spirit, Thomson Destiny, Thomson Celebration, The Emerald and The Calypso. Ports of call include Croatia, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Greece, Gibraltar, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Slovenia, and Turkey, Barcelona, Palma and Marseille.

    if you have worked in fred olsen, so that means you were under bahia shipping agency, am i right? i also had one contract with them. anyway, if you like to transfer to thomson cruises, the agency that i know which handles the hotel department of thomson cruises is the C.F. Sharp which is located in Intramuros, Manila. from what i know is every year, the principal comes to manila and do some interview. Good luck and it takes lot of patience (and budget) if you will stay longer in Manila and apply to transfer to another agency.
