After my P & O job experience, I did a contract with this Norwegian company. The ship where I was assigned was Braemar. It was in dry dock when I arrived in Hamburg, Germany. I was one of the staff who joined her for her maiden voyage in Dover, England. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is a Norwegian cruise shipping company with five cruise ships. The company has its headquarters in Ipswich, United Kingdom and is owned by Bonheur and Ganger Rolf. The company is part of the Fred. Olsen Group. The shipping operations of Fred Olsen and Company are licensed under three distinct brands, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Fred. Olsen Express/Lineas Fred Olsen and COMARIT. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines operates a fleet of four cruise ships to destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and Canada.

In May 2006 Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines announced the purchase of a new vessel, Norwegian Crown, from Norwegian Cruise Line. The ship was delivered to Fred. Olsen in November 2007, after which she will be drydocked and lengthened. She will be renamed Balmoral and is expected to enter service in early 2008. The Fred Olsen Cruise Lines Fleet
